Mert Leeman started his career working in the warehouse of Stan’s Coffee in 1978, after moving to Florida from Wisconsin. He quickly moved his way up to delivery driver and finally to sales where he became the most productive and profitable salesman in the company.
Mert Leeman is retiring from Stan’s Coffee Service as of August 27, 2021, after 43 years of excellent service in the communities of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Cape Coral and Pine island.
“Mert is passionate about his customers like no one I have seen,” said Bob Payne, President of Stan’s coffee, “That is truly the reason he has been so successful, he is a real legend in the restaurant community.” Mert is also known for his commitment to the District 9 Little league where he was involved for over 25 years and president for over 12, his love for the Chicago Bears and the Florida Gators, as he is a season ticket holder. Mert will be retiring in the Orlando area to be closer to family and grandchildren.
We’d like to graciously thank Mert for all the years of his dedication to us and our surrounding communities. Stan’s Coffee would not be the same without his passion and drive and he will be dearly missed. As with everything in life Mert has been a part of, we know retirement will be yet another exciting adventure. Thank you again Mert, and enjoy the world’s longest coffee break – retirement.
