Joe Lee – Outstanding Service For Over 50 Years
On October 5, 1965, Stan’s gained what ended up to be its longest working employee. Joe Lee was hired by the original owner of Stan’s, Stan Vosney, as a delivery man. He delivered products for Bill Vosney, Stan’s son.
Eventually, Joe took over Bill’s sales route when Bill went in to work at the office. Joe was now selling products to customers in Naples, Marco Island, Punta Gorda, Clewiston and Labelle. Since Joe was new to the sales part of the business, Stan had him enrolled in the Dale Carnegie course to help improve his sales skills.
In 1969, Joe won the Accent Challenge, a national competition to see who could sell the most of the product, Accent. Joe’s prize for winning this competition was a brand new 1969 Mustang, as seen in the picture to the left. After this accomplishment, Joe continued to improve and move up at Stan’s Coffee Service, and now expanded his sales to the areas of Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs, Sanibel, and Captiva. Joe’s dedication to sales is a strong factor in the success of Stan’s Coffee Service today. After helping with the expansion and obtaining many new customers for Stan’s, Joe then concentrated on building up the business in the Collier County area. He is presently semi-retired, and is soliciting new accounts throughout Stan’s entire sales market.
Along with his success in the work world, Joe is a joy to anybody he meets. He served the community by coaching children with the Riverdale Wildcats Pop Warner football team, even winning the Junior Pee Wee division in 1985. His light-heartedness and fantastic customer service makes him a joy to work with. Joe always has something to say to make his customers and co-workers smile or laugh.
Without Joe’s dedication and hard work, Stan’s may not be the success that it is today. On behalf of the entire Stan’s family, we want to thank Joe Lee for his exceptional service, and wish him a happy retirement. Thanks, Joe!
